Harris County Texas Democratic Women
Who We Are
The Harris County Texas Democratic Women is the local chapter of the state organization, Texas Democratic Women. We were organized in April, 1997. Our goal is to have more women involved in local and state politics and to be more aware of national issues.
We meet on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 - 12:00 at the Family Cafe, 2712 Blodgett.
The state chapter of the Texas Democratic Women was organized in 1987 as one response to the growing political interest expressed by mainstream women across the state. It promotes the increased political activity and influence of Democratic women in Texas politics and government. TDW provides statewide training conferences and workshops. In addition, the group serves as a communication network for existing Democratic women's organizations and promotes the formation of new groups.
Please come and join us as we work diligently to get more women involved in politics. Come to network and meet new friends. Make politics a part of your daily life. Remember,
THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS "THE PARTY"
