At our core, the Harris County Democratic Party exists to achieve electoral success for Democratic candidates, to clearly identify and communicate the principles for which the Democratic Party stands and to help influence public policy and opinion, reflecting these ideals.
It sounds simple, but it is truly a huge responsibility, one which we take extremely seriously. We are the third largest county in the country and it takes a lot of time, money and energy to reach out to our voters and our base. During campaign season, we have a dedicated Coordinated Campaign staff that works tirelessly to bring Democratic voters to the polls and help achieve Democratic success. In off campaign years, the Harris County Democratic Party is still up and running, supporting the principles of the Democratic Party and supporting our Democratic elected officials, here in town.
But we could not and would not be able to do any of this without funding. We rely solely on contributions to exist.
