HCDP Announces Endorsements in City
of Houston Run-Off Election
Garcia & Martinez
(District H) , Gomez & Rodriguez (HISD), and Garcia & Guzman
(HCCS) Also Receive Endorsements From Executive Committee
 The
Harris County Democratic Party has endorsed Houston Mayoral candidate
Bill WHITE, City Council at Large, Place 3 candidate Peter BROWN, City
Council at Large, Place 4 candidate Ron GREEN, and City Controller
candidate Annise PARKER in the run-off election for those offices to
be conducted December 6. The action was taken by the County Executive
Committee of the Harris County Democratic Party, which passed an endorsement
resolution by acclimation at its November 6 meeting. The Party also
issued dual endorsements in the race for City Council, District H,
endorsing both Adrian Garcia and Diana Davila Martinez, in the race
for HISD Trustee, District III, endorsing both Michael Gomez and Manuel
Rodriguez, and in the race for Houston Community College District 3,
endorsing both Herlinda Garcia and Diane Olmos Guzman.
EARLY VOTING STARTS WEDNESDAY,
NOVEMBER 19, AND SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, IS THE DATE OF THE ELECTION.
Harris County Democratic Party Chair Gerry Birnberg asks all Democrats
to GO TO THE POLLS - regardless of whether you voted in the November
4 elections or not. You may still vote in the runoff, even if you did
not vote on November 4! If you are available to make telephone calls,
block-walk, deliver yard signs, or otherwise help in this election,
please call the Party office (713.802-0085) or the specific candidate
for whom you would like to do volunteer work. (Their phone numbers
