Meet the Coordinated Campaign Staff | Jerry Peruchini, Latino Outreach Director

Gerardo (Jerry) Peruchini is the Latino Outreach Coordinator for the 2010 Coordinated Campaign and we could not be more pleased to have him on board! Jerry’s past political experience and strong background with campaigns makes him a great asset to our team. He began as an intern on the Annise Parker Campaign for Mayor before becoming a field organizer and focusing on the Latino vote effort during the election runoff. During his time working for Mayor Parker he helped organize and coordinate outreach efforts with labor union UNITE HERE! in a mass direct voter contact program. Jerry also trained and worked alongside numerous Spanish-speaking volunteers, training them in both Spanish and English. Most recently, before joining the Coordinated Campaign, Jerry worked with Lone Star Strategies, a fundraising firm representing local and statewide Democratic candidates.

The Latino community will be instrumental in turning Texas blue, especially here in Harris County. The Coordinated Campaign has an aggressive and innovative field strategy to turn out the Harris County Democratic base Working closely with volunteers, community leaders, candidates and elected officials – the Latino community will be targeted on a countywide level. The key to victory lies in a precinct-by-precinct GOTV strategy, which will be employed this election cycle. If you would like to be involved in this and other campaign efforts, feel free to contact Jerry by email at jerry@hcdp.org or call him at 713-802-0085.
